Membership application rules and fees

New members must complete a probationary period with either the Smallbore Precision Rifle Section, the Air UIT Section or Sporting Rifle Section. The period of probation will be at the discretion of the General Committee (generally six months). References from a present or previous club are required for F.A.C. holders.

Application for membership must be made in person at the Club during official shooting times of any of the above mentioned sections. To join, applicants must complete an application form (available by a visit to the club by the applicant), provide two passport style photographs, a means of identification and the appropriate joining fee and membership fee. A parent, guardian or adult relative must accompany applicants under the age of sixteen when they apply to join.

During probation novice members will receive one to one tuition on the safe and competent handling and discharge of firearms, range safety, plus basic marksmanship training . All probationary members must make regular attendances before they are considered for full membership.

The committee reserves the right to refuse a membership application or full membership without explanation.
