SPORTING RIFLE SECTION

 

Shooting is off hand (standing up) with .22 calibre rifles at distances of 20 yards indoor and 25 metres and 50 metres outdoor.

Can also be shot prone and kneeling at 50 metres.

Section meets Tuesday evenings from 7.30 pm on indoor range

Lightweight Sport Rifle (LSR) Essex County Championship and County Teams

Following on with the popularity and growth of lightweight sport rifle in the UK and other counties’ programmes of events, Essex introduced a County Championship for the LSR. This has now been running for three years during the summer season and is growing each year with some excellent close competition encompassing all standards.
